Let me tell you what my opinion is of a guru...

...one who has a greater level of knowledge in a given area or one that understands the concept more than some one else.

How much more knowledge does it take to be a guru...

...just enough that you impress your audience with words or actions.

Does this make you a guru? Yes!! You can be a guru that is constantly learning. You may just be an average person that has more to offer than the other guy, or you could be an average guy looking at another person that knows just enough to impress you
with words or actions. To you they are the guru. It is all perspective and perception.

If you feel or think that you have \"nothing\" inside you that would benefit new eBusiness owners and Internet users as a whole, think again. The experiences that you have had in your life are yours and no one else\'s, thus making you and your perspective unique. Share that information with those of us that can benefit from it.

It doesn\'t matter a whole lot what it is. Gardening, Woodworking, or maybe Baby Sitting. What ever it is you are or will be the expert. Did I hear you say that you know a lot but...

...stop the but and think it out. Maybe you need to study up a bit or practice a bit more while taking notes. It doesn\'t matter you can become that expert and write about your experience along the way. You will be the guru while you are asking other gurus
questions.

Let me give you a little background about myself...

At the time of this writing I am 50 years on the great earth. I spent my youth being the wild one. No education that I didn\'t teach myself. I continued like this until age 29 and then it was time to smarten up. Thirty was just around the corner and I was still a teenager. I decided it was time to get a real job and went to work for a big company pumping gas while I went to bible college for 4 years.

What did I learn there? I am a somebody and so are you. We have unlimited potential. If you use potential it only grows and you have more potential. Amazing isn\'t it.

After learning a great life lesson, I stepped into the computer world in 1985, as green as a week old apple. I had no idea what the future was holding for me and I didn\'t really care too much. I just had a new son and I was going to make things great for him and of course for my wife. Was I in for a shock. Nine months went by and I made zero dollars in sales. Did I get discouraged, not me I know that I can do anything I put my mind to. Christmas was coming shortly and I decided to put my shy nature aside and to go for it. I made enough money by Christmas to by a brand new dishwasher to make our lives a little better.

It may not have been a great Christmas for the little things but with a new baby, the dishwasher would make things easier to.

Well enough of that. What I really received as a bonus for Christmas was the understanding that I was not meant for sales. That may sound kind of weird but hear me out. What I found was, I was better at answering questions about how people could use
their computers. I changed my job and started teaching and that is what I did until the year 2000, when I decided it was time to retire from teaching and do something I could do from home.

As an instructor it was my job to keep up on the technology and that meant the Internet and to create all the instruction manuals. All that with no education. All self taught and I have never had a bad review, except for the one my co-workers slip in. It nearly killed me. But I still love them.

I have been a internet junkie since 1994 and as of 2000 I have been learning about Internet Marketing. Since then I have created a number of eBooks (Information products) that benefit many people along with quite a few web sites.

Are you starting to get the point. Let me spell it out. \"YOU can do it!!\"

Am I an internet marketing guru? Not by my standards, but I am a guru to many of the people that have far less understanding of what it takes to be successful in the areas I teach.

Are you trying to figure out where to begin with your business idea and the internet? Then I am the guru, otherwise know as \"the average guy\", that can guide you to success one step at a time. My journey will take you through the SWAMP, that I call
the Internet, and you will have the adventure of your life. That is what a guide through a dangerous place should do for you. Protect you and make it look easy. I will teach you how you can \"Start With A Marketing Plan\"

I have written five exams at the expert level so I could call my a Microsoft Office User Specialist. It helps me sell my Microsoft Word eBook. Does it make me a Word? No, but I am to a novice.

How about creating web graphics using Photoshop. I have impressed hundreds of student and they might call me a guru.

I use an editor now but I learned to create web pages by writing all the HTML code so that I would know how to fix little problems that editors can create. I have build web sites for businesses and friends. They think I am a guru, but I look at some of the people I admire and to me they are the gurus.

Keep in mind that one persons definition of a guru and another persons definition are usually based on how much or how little they know about the subject. My skills will take a newbie from knowing little or nothing to the point where they can be proficient in each area I teach. But turn the tables and who do I think are gurus. The same principle applies. Those people that know far more than I do are gurus to me.

Self proclaimed gurus sometimes get a bad wrap because they make their claims without supporting them first or showing them in action. Don\'t be intimidated by the term guru, in my opinion it only means they know more than the average person and they
only remain gurus as long as they continue to grow and learn. They are still human and as humans they still make mistakes, just like you and I do. They are just quicker at fixing them than the newbie is.
