Geomantic Rules in the Living Room

Chinese people attach importance to the science of Geomancy - study of the influence of landscape (hills, river, layout of land or house) on people and their fortunes. Most people ask geomancers to choose good and propitious sites for houses or ancestors' graves. The rules of Geomancy are made from the ancients' wide-spreading experiences of life. Some people think of Geomancy as superstition, because they don't understand it. Now we can give reasonable explanations to the rules of Geomancy. On Geomantic theory, the living room is the most important room in our house. The Geomancy of living room affects us many things, such as family members' health, relations between a husband and a wife, luck in making money and so on. Today we talk about geomantic rules in the living room.

Don't Put a Sofa under a Crossbeam.

A crossbeam bear a heavy burden of a house. If you sit under it, you will also bear the invisible stress. The situation will affect your health. For example, you maybe usually have a headache and feel nervous.

Don't Put any Sharp-pointed Decoration.

Sharp-pointed decorations are dangerous and cause your mental violent status. They will result in quarrels and acts of violence. You should avoid to hang sharp-pointed decorations on wall, such as swords and animal specimens. Besides that, you shouldn't furnish your living room with angled lamps or angled ornaments.

Don't Hang Pictures of Savage Beast on Walls.

Pictures of savage beast - tigers, lions, leopards, dragons, eagles, bears - also cause your mental violent status and will conduce to quarrels and acts of violence. You had better hang propitious and meaningful pictures instead of them.

Don't Stuff Your Living Room with Antiques, Decorations, Furniture, Miscellaneous Articles or Rubbish.

If your living room are clogged with too many objects, you will mope and have pent-up emotions or thoughts.

Sufficient Light.

A bright living room symbolizes a exuberant family and good fortune. Don't put many dense pot plants on your balcony to obstruct sunlight. Besides that, don't pile garbage or shoes on your balcony and keep it clean.

The Floor of Your Living Room must be Smooth.

If the floor of your living room is rugged, members of your family will most likely be hurt by a fall and the life of your family will full of frustrations.

The Position.

The best position of your living room is on the front of your house and near the gate, so your guest can enter your living room directly from the gate, without going through the other rooms. Besides that, the living room can absorb the atmosphere and energy from outside immediately, and then people in the living room can keep their vitality easily.

The Layout.

Because you must keep the atmosphere and energy circulating , the best layout of your living room must be square or rectangular.
